How Food Affects Your Mood

How Food Affects Your Mood

Did you know that what we eat and drink affects how we feel? Not just whether we are energetic or full, but food has also an impact on our emotions, feelings and quality of sleep.

Eating vegetables, legumes, fruits, spices and herbs are essential for our health. However, we also need to get high-quality fats everyday like nuts, extra virgin oil and fatty fish.

In addition, specific food promote positive mental health by reducing irritability, relaxing the body and mind. It is not a secret; food has a huge impact in our brain-health and cells.

Moreover, other behaviours can affect your mood. If you are not eating enough, it can lead to problems such as feeling tired and/or foggy. If you’re cutting out on essential food groups and not getting your vitamins and minerals, it can cause depression, chronic fatigue and alter mood and behaviour.
